Symposium: Armistice & Aftermath

WW1CC’s Symposium, Armistice & Aftermath, is a two-day series of presentations to be held at Michigan Technological University, Memorial Union Building, September 28-29. The symposium is open to the public and admission is FREE.

Full Program

Armistice Day 2018 marks the centenary end of World War I. This symposium explores the conditions and impacts of the Great War as experienced during and afterward, with a special focus on the perspective from the American Heartland.

Registration On-Site

We invite the public to attend any part of Armistice & Aftermath. For non-presenters, a boxed dinner for the concert performance (Friday 6:00 pm) and buffet lunch (Saturday 11:45 a.m.) are available for purchase at a discount with symposium registration.

Parking

Parking is free on campus after 4pm Friday and all day Saturday. Please contact Patty Sotirin at pjsotiri@mtu.edu if you require a permit for earlier in the day on Friday. We highly recommend using the conference shuttle from the Copper Crown Hotel or staying within walking distance as parking spaces will be limited during the conference weekend.
